The culture that is responsible for the second World War is still embedded in the bureaucracy of state and in regulations and laws that cage the human spirit. Why are we still following the philosophies and traditions of men who initiated the largest mass-murders in all of history? We talk about the brutish acts of the Romans and Greeks as though we have progressed so far ahead but we haven’t, as evident by the wars less than a century ago. Why are they permitted to reign over us after their massive fuck-ups? If the state were an individual we would’ve locked it up with a million consecutive life sentences.
The problem is that history has set for us the stage. History is full of people who have been executed for free-thought and defiance of authority, this has skewed the balance of the ‘default’ to favor subservience to the state. We’re fighting on an uneven stage, tilted to the disadvantage of free-thought and compassion.
